Itinerary of 14 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari.

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison falls national park

In the morning after breakfast, the Uganda Wildlife Safari guide driver will pick you form your Hotel in Kampala or Entebbe and transfer you to Murchison falls national park. You will do en route visit to Ziwa rhino sanctuary for Rhinoceros tracking. After tracking Rhinos you will continue to Masindi where you will have lunch. You will then continue to Murchison falls national park reaching reaching in good time to visit the top of the falls. Later, proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at; PARAA SAFARI LODGE/ PAKUBA SAFARI LODGE/ FORT MURCHISON LODGE.

Murchison Falls Boat CruiseDay 2: Full day in Murchison, game drive in the morning and boat cruise in afternoon

On this day, you will wake up early to go for morning game drive where you will be able to catch up with early risers like lions leopards, hyenas, bush bucks, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes among others before they return to their hiding places. Later Return to the lodge for relaxation as you as you take your lunch. After lunch break, you will enjoy a boat cruise to the bottom of the Victoria Nile falls which will reward you with view of of the falls and animals such as Hippos, Crocodiles elephants, giraffes as well as variety of bird species.  Return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at PARAA SAFARI LODGE / PAKUBA SAFARI LODGE / FORT MURCHISON LODGE

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale forest national park

A relatively early morning start, after breakfast you will be embark on a scenic journey to Kibale national park passing Fort portal town. Kibale forest is the home to 13 primate species including the chimpanzees plus other monkey species like red tailed monkey, grey checked mangabeys, colobus monkeys and many others. The journey will take your through the Albertine rift found in the western arm of the great East African rift valley, reaching fort portal early evening Relax and refresh at the lodge, dinner and overnight stay in preparation for chimpanzee tracking experience the next day; CHIMPANZEE FOREST GUEST HOUSE / CRATER SAFARI LODGE / PRIMATE LODGE

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking & Nature Walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary.

Have an early morning breakfast and drive to Kanyanchu Visitor centre for the chimpanzee briefing by the ranger guide. You will locate the chimps by listening for their pant-hooting calls, then hassle to the area from which they are calling. In the afternoon, go for nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary where you will see more other primates such as red colobus monkeys, grey cheeked mangabeys, black and white Colobus, red tailed monkeys and a lot of bird species including the Great blue Turacco. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at, CHIMPANZEE FOREST GUEST / CRATER SAFARI LODGE / PRIMATE LODGE

Day 5: Transfers to Queen Elizabeth national park & Evening game drive.

On the day after breakfast you will set off to Queen Elizabeth national park, passing via crater lakes region. You will reach Queen Elizabeth park in good time to have your delicious lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will go for game drive safari where you expect to see animals such as Elephants, Lions, Buffaloes, Uganda kobs, warthogs, waterbucks, birds and many more. Alternatively, you may choose to go for explosion crater drive, taking you to  visit lake Katwe and learn about Salt mining by the local people. You will the return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at QUEEN ELIZABETH BUSH LODGE / ENGANZI LODGE / MWEYA SAFARI LODGE

Day 6: Early morning game drive and Kazinga channel boat cruise in the afternoon.

In the morning, you will go for game drive in Kasenyi plains wher you will be rewarded by animals such as lions, bush bucks, leopard, hyena, buffaloes, elephants, warthogs among others. You will the return to the lodge for lunch break. In the afternoon, report to mweya where you will enjoy the boat cruise on Kazzinga channel, with the best view of Hippos, Crocodiles, elephants comimg to drink, buffaloes and  birds among others. Dinner and overnight stay at, QUEEN ELIZABETH BUSH LODGE / ENGANZI LODGE / MWEYA SAFARI LODGE

Day 7: Transfer to Ishasha sector south of Queen Elizabeth national park

In the morning after breakfast, transfer to Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park which is famous for tree climbing lions which are always spotted clinging between the branches of fig trees.  You will do afternoon game drive safari in search of tree climbing lions and many other animals of the savanna like topi, Elephants, hyenas, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, Warthogs birds and possibly leopard. If you are interest in hippos, visit Ishasha River for amazing view of the hippopotamus. Later, go to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at, ENJOJO LODGE / ISHASHA JUNGLE LODGE / ISHASHA WILDERNESS CAMP

Gorillas in the mistDay 8: Game drive and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park

On this day after your breakfast, you will go for another game drive in ishasha for more chances search for tree climbing lions as well as other game animals, afterwards transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park which is a home to the rare mountain Gorillas.  Check in to your lodge for relaxation in preparation for Gorilla trekking the next day. Dinner and overnight stay at, BAKIGA LODGE / BUHOMA HAVEN LODGE / SANCTUARY GORILLA FOREST CAMP

Day 9: Gorilla Trekking  and Community walk

Take an early breakfast, head to the park office headquarters with packed lunch ready to be briefed about the do’s and don’ts of gorilla tracking in the impenetrable forest. You will get to spend one hour with the gorillas after having trekked for 3-6 hours. If you are still strong in the afternoon, you will go for a community walk where you will meet the local people including the Batwa. learn about Batwa traditional way of living. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at, BAKIGA LODGE / BUHOMA HAVEN LODGE / SANCTUARY GORILLA FOREST CAMP

Day 10: Transfer to Mgahinga national park

After breakfast, enjoy the drive to Kisoro where will go for community walk in the afternoon.  This place is adjust to  Mgahinga national park. We spend the night here in preparation to undertake golden monkey tracking the next day. Possible Accommodation here will be in Kisoro town overnight stay at, LAKE MULEHE SAFARI LODGE/ TRAVELERS REST HOTEL / MOUNT GAHINGA LODGE.

Day 11: Golden monkey tracking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

On this day wake up and take breakfast, then drive to the Mgahinga national park office for the briefing about the golden monkey tracking. Tracking the rare golden monkeys may take approximately 3-5 hours. On return from the tracking, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, the most beautiful and deepest lake in Uganda. Dinner and overnight stay at, ARCADIA COTTAGES / LAKE BUNYONYI OVERLAND RESORT / BIRDNEST RESORT.

Day 12: Morning Boat ride & Transfer to Lake Mburo national park

After your morning breakfast, go for boat ride or canoeing to visit the historical islands such as Punishment Island, upside down and many more. On return from the boat ride, you will set off to Lake mburo national park with lunch break along the way. Lake Mburo national park has a diversity of animals, therefore you have an opportunity to spot and take photographs of Zebras, buffaloes, Elands, rare impalas, giraffes, topi, and on lucky occasions leopard. On arrival, you will do en-route game drive as you head to your lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at, LAKE MBURO SAFARI LODGE / RWAKOBO ROCK LODGE / MIHINGO SAFARI LODGE

Day 13: Game drive and transfer to Entebbe Town

On this day after your breakfast, go for game drive to see Zebras, topi, Eland, buffaloes, Impalas and many others. Later you will have lunch afterwards, transfer to Kampala  with a stopover at Uganda equator for photography and shopping. Reach Kampala/ Entebbe for an overnight stay at KARIBU GUEST HOUSE / 2 FRIENDS BOUTIQUE HOTEL / BOMA GUEST HOUSE

Day 14: Birding Mabamba swamp and end of Uganda wildlife Safari, departure.

On this last day, after breakfast you will drive to Mabamba swamp for a half day birding excursion to see the rare Shoebill stork, lesser jacana, and other swamp birds. You will use a canoe to access the Shoebill stork. later when you return, you will transfer to Entebbe for departure if it will be your scheduled departure day. This will be the end of the trip.
