The 6 Days Uganda Primates Safari will take you to the wonderful primate places of Uganda, where you will encounter our close relatives, Chimpanzees, Gorillas, and animals of African Savannah such as buffaloes, lions, leopards, hyenas, warthogs, Uganda kobs, bush bucks, waterbucks, Elephants, Topi, mangoes plus hippopotamus crocodiles and lots of birds. This includes places of Kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth national park and Bwindi Impenetrable national park.

Day 1: Depart Kampala for Kibale forest national park

After breakfast, you will depart Kampala for Kibale Forest National park, arriving in the afternoon. Kibale Forest is a large protected block of rainforest, which has the highest number of primates in Africa such as Chimpanzees, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Red Tailed monkey and Red Colobus.  In the afternoon, you will do Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary walk to see some of the monkeys. Dinner and overnight at; PRIMATE LODGE KIBALE / CHIMPANZEE FOREST GUEST HOUSE / KIBALE SAFARI CAMP

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.

This morning, you will go for chimp tracking. Spend the whole morning in the forest, where you will view chimps relax in their natural habitats. You will view other wildlife species like Birds and later return to the park headquarters. You will have lunch and later transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park, reaching in the evening. Dinner and overnight at MWEYA SAFARI LODGE / PARK VIEW ENGANZI LODGE / BUSH LODGE 

Day 3: Morning Game Drive & Kazinga channel Boat cruise in Afternoon. 

After an early cup of   coffee, you will go for morning game drives where you will see game as lion, bush buck, water hogs, elephants, and many more. Go back to the Lodge for a late breakfast and relax at the swimming pool.  In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel for a view of lots of game as hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, as well as a variety of bird species. Dinner and overnight at  MWEYA SAFARI LODGE / ENGANZI LODGE / BUSH LODGE

Day 4: Ishasha Game drive and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.

In the morning, you will set off to Bwindi National park passing via Ishasha sector for a game drive in search of the famous tree-climbing lions. If you are lucky you will spot them hanging in fig trees and also view other wildlife species like antelopes. Continue and have picnic lunch en route, arriving in Bwindi in the afternoon for dinner and overnight at; MAHOGANY SPRINGS LODGE/BUHOMA HAVEN LODGE/ BAKIGA LODGE 

Day 5: Gorilla Tracking & Community Walk- Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

This morning you will have to wake up very early to get ready for Gorilla tracking. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. There are always park guides with you who interpret the flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas. You will be with the gorillas for a maximum of one hour of viewing and taking photographs once your find them. On return if you are still strong, you will go for community walk to meet and interact with local people including the Batwa. Dinner and overnight at; MAHOGANY SPRINGS LODGE/BUHOMA HAVEN LODGE/ BAKIGA LODGE

Day 6: Transfer back to Kampala/ Entebbe and end of the trip.

After breakfast, set off to Kampala with stopover to look at the Royal Drum makers and at the Equator where you will be able to stand and be on both hemispheres at once. You will then continue your journey, arriving in the Kampala early evening. The tour transfer you to Entebbe airport to catch up with your departure flight if on schedule. Alternatively you can be dropped at your Hotel in Kampala as you end your Uganda primates Safari.

The cost of 6 Days Uganda primates Safari itinerary will include the following:

  • Ground Transport in a 4WD comfortable safari vehicle with fuel
  • Gorilla tracking permit in Uganda
  • Chimpanzee tracking fees
  • Game drive Safari in Queen Elizabeth National park
  • Boat trip along Kazinga channel

  • Accommodation with meal for 5 nights, 6 days
