The 8 Days Primate Safari Uganda focuses on Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale national park, Bwindi gorilla trek and wildlife tour in Queen Elizabeth national park. This trip also gives you opportunity to search for the famous tree climbing lions in Ishasha, southern sector of Queen Elizabeth national park.

Trip Itinerary of 8 Days Primate Safari Uganda:

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe & Transfer to the Hotel.  

On arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by our company tour guide/ driver who will transfer you to Kampala or Entebbe for the overnight at Karibu Guest House Entebbe/ Cassia lodge/ 2 Friend beach Hotel Entebbe. 

Day 2: Kampala – Kibale Forest; Home to 13 primates species

After breakfast, you will depart Kampala for Kibale Forest National park passing via the Nakayima tree in Mubende and arriving in the afternoon. Kibale Forest is a large protected block of rainforest, which has the highest number of primates in Africa such as Chimpanzees, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Red Tailed monkey and Red Colobus.  In the afternoon, you may go for evening cultural walk in the Batoro Community. Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee Guest House/Crater Safari Lodge/ Primate Lodge Kibale. 

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

This morning, you will go for chimp tracking. Spend the whole morning in the forest, where you will view chimps relax in their natural habitats. You will view other wildlife species like Birds and later return to the park headquarters. You will have lunch and later transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park reaching in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Bush lodge/ Enganzi lodge/ Mweya Safari Lodge  

Day 4: Morning Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat cruise in Afternoon.

After an early cup of   coffee, you will go for morning game drives where you will see game as lion, bush buck, water hogs, elephants, and many more. Go back to the Lodge for a late breakfast and relax at the swimming pool.  In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel for a view of lots of game as hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, as well as a variety of bird species. Dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge/ Enganzi lodge/ Mweya Safari Lodge  

Day 5: Ishasha Game Drive Safari & Transfer to Bwindi National park.

In the morning, you will set off to Bwindi national park passing via Ishasha sector for a game drive in search of the famous tree-climbing lions. If you are lucky you will spot them hanging in fig trees and also view other wildlife species like antelopes. Continue and have picnic lunch en route, arriving in Bwindi in the afternoon for dinner and overnight at Buhoma Haven lodge/ Bakiga Lodge/ Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp  

Day 6: Gorilla Tracking & Community Visit- Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

This morning you will have to wake up very early to get ready for Gorilla tracking. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. There are always park guides with you who interpret the flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Gorillas. Dinner and overnight at Buhoma Haven lodge/ Bakiga Lodge/ Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp.  

Day 7: Transfer back to Kampala.

After breakfast, set off to Kampala with stopover to look at the Royal Drum makers, the Equator -where you will be able to stand and be on both hemispheres at once, arriving in Kampala in the evening. Overnight and dinner at Cassia Lodge/ Le petite Village Hotel/ Sharaton Hotel.

Day 8: City tour and transfer to Entebbe for departure.

After having breakfast, you will go for a city tour where you will visit the major attractions in the city and later be transferred to Entebbe Airport to catch with your departure flight. 

End of  8 Days Primate Safari Uganda.
