This 11 days Uganda Rwanda combined safari is intended to meet the interest of people who have planned to visit Gorilla in both countries, Rwanda and Uganda. The trip will specifically start in Kigali Rwanda and will end in Kampala or Entebbe international Airport in Uganda.

Day 1 : Kigali City tour and transfer to volcanoes National Park

In the morning after your breakfast,  your guide will pick you form your Hotel and take you for Kigali City tour with a visit to Kigali Genocide memorial, local markets, and Nyamata church. Thereafter you will have lunch, afterwards transfer to Volcanoes National park the home of mountain gorillas. You will  then check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at MOUNTAIN GORILLA VIEW LODGE / DAVINCI GORILLA LODGE / HOTEL MUHABURA

Day 2: 1st Gorilla tracking Adventure and community walk

On this day after early morning breakfast, you will report to the park offices with packed lunch ready for gorilla tracking. You will then be allocated a gorilla family to visit, be briefed and then head to the Forest for your gorilla experience. Tracking of the gorillas may take 4-6 hours, so maximum fitness is needed to hike up and down as these gorillas are fond of being in high volcanic mountains, take drinking water and your tracking gears as recommended. Later when you return back from tracking and depending on how fit you will be, you will visit the community for cultural entertainments to Gorilla guardians village. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at MOUNTAIN GORILLA VIEW LODGE / DAVINCI GORILLA LODGE / HOTEL MUHABURA

Day 3: Golden monkey tracking and Transfer to Bwindi National Park

After an early morning breakfast, you will go to the park offices where you will be briefed before you go on for your golden monkey tracking. These are endangered monkey specie that are found in the virunga volcanoes region. On return from tracking,  you will drive and crossover to the border to Uganda. Continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable national park which is another home to a half of the world’s population of mountain gorillas. Proceed to the lodge and check in for your dinner and overnight stay at AGANDI UGANDA LODGE / GORILLA MIST CAMP / BAKIGA LODGE

Day 4 : 2nd Gorilla tracking and community walk

Wake up early morning, take your breakfast and then report to the ranger station. You will carry packed lunch and drinking water and dress in a good attire for jungle walking. You will attend the briefing about Do’s and Dont’s of gorilla tracking, afterwards you will be assigned to a gorilla family and then together with a park ranger, ascend to the forest for your gorilla adventure that will take 4-6 hours depending on your pace and movement of the gorillas in their natural habitat. Once you come across the gorillas, you will be allowed a maximum of 1 hour with them as you take pictures.  Return back to the lodge. Depending on the time and how strong you will be, you can later go for community walk to meet and be entertained by the local people including the pygmies as you learn about their culture. then afterwards go back to your lodge for dinner overnight stay at AGANDI UGANDA LODGE / GORILLA MIST CAMP / BAKIGA LODGE

Day 5 : Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park, Game Drive in Ishasha Sector

After an early morning breakfast, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park for the Savannah Safari experience. This is one of the largest conservation areas of Uganda with huge concentration of animals than other parks of Uganda. Due to various animal habitats here you stand chances to see huge school of hippos, Herds of elephants, tree climbing lions, warthogs, African cape buffaloes, waterbucks, leopards, hyenas, Vervet Monkeys, baboons and lots of bird species. On this day, depart from Bwindi for ishasha where you will do game drive in search of the famous tree climbing lions. you will later on proceed to the north area, where you will spend your night,. Time allowing do evening explosion crater drive and check in to your lodge for an overnight stay at MWEYA SAFARI LODGE / ENGANZI LODGE / QUEEN ELIZABETH BUSH LODGE

Day 6 : Early morning Game drive and Kazinga channel boat cruise in afternoon.

On this day, take a cup of tea or coffee and go out for morning game drive to catch up with early raisers like lions leopards hyenas among others. later you will return to the lodge for a full breakfast and lunch break. After lunch you will be driven to the jetty for your afternoon Boat cruise along the Kazinga channel that will last for 2 hours. This is a natural water body that connects two rift valley lakes, George and Edward which are found within the this park. On return from the boat you will do a short game drive and head to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at MWEYA SAFARI LODGE / ENGANZI LODGE / QUEEN ELIZABETH BUSH LODGE

Day 7 : Game drive in the morning and Depart for Kibale forest National Park

After your breakfast, you will do another game drive in Kasenyi plains of Queen Elizabeth national park, visit Lake katwe to learn about salt mining. Afterwards you will transfer to Kibale national park where you will spend your night in preparation of your chimpanzee tracking the next day. Check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at KIBALE PRIMATES LODGE / CRATER SAFARI LODGE / CHIMPANZEE FOREST GUEST HOUSE

Day 8 : Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary walk in afternoon

This morning after an early breakfast, Report to the ranger station ready for chimp tracking experience in Kibale forest national park. This is Africa’s primate haven with about 13 primate species recorded in the area. This includes chimpanzees, red colobus monkeys , red tailed potto,  mangabeys and many more,  you will then be briefed by ranger guide about do’s and don’ts while tracking the chimpanzees. On return from tracking, have lunch break then afterwards go for bigodi wetland sanctuary nature walk where you have chance to see monkeys and birds that you might have missed while tracking chimpanzee. You will then head back to the lodge for your dinner and overnight stay at KIBALE PRIMATES LODGE / CRATER SAFARI LODGE / CHIMPANZEE FOREST GUEST HOUSE

Day 9: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

After your breakfast, you will transfer to Murchison falls national park.  This is Uganda’s largest Savannah game park with variety of animal species such as Elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, Jacksons, hartebeest warthogs, lions, leopards, jackals, hyenas, Oribi and Uganda kobs. On this day, you will enjoy passing through different villages, beautiful landscape with good scenery as you enjoy the countryside views. You will have picnic lunch on the way and then proceed to check in to your lodge for overnight stay at PARAA SAFARI LODGE / PAKUBA SAFARI LODGE / FORT MURCHISON LODGE

Day 10: Morning Game drive and Afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the Falls

A relatively early start after breakfast, head for morning game drive Safari in search of Savannah animals such as Elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, waterbuck, harte beest, orib, lions, leopards, hyenas jackals warthogs, Uganda kobs, and many birds species. On return from game drive, you will have lunch break and later go for afternoon boat cruise up stream to the bottom of the falls. While on the boat, expect to see schools of hippos, Nile crocodiles, Nile monitor lizards as well as Elephants and giraffes coming to drink. Return to your lodge for overnight stay at PARAA SAFARI LODGE / PAKUBA SAFARI LODGE / FORT MURCHISON

Day 11 : Depart to Visit the Top of Murchison Falls & Transfer to Kampala

On this last day after breakfast, you will drive to visit the top of Murchison falls, afterwards drive to exit the park from the southern gate. You will continue to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary where you will track the Rhino for approximately an hour, then have lunch before continuing to Kampala. You will arrive Kampala early in the evening. Your tour guide will then drop you to your Hotel or will transfer you to Entebbe International Airport to catch up with your flight if it will be on schedule.
